Corsica Private Jet Charter: Ajaccio, Figari & Bastia FBO Guide

Complete guide to private jet charter in Corsica. FBO comparison at Ajaccio, Figari, Bastia & Calvi. Chauffeur-to-jet coordination by FFGR Corsica.

Private aviation in Corsica is not a single experience — it is an ecosystem of choices, each shaped by the departure airport, the FBO (Fixed Base Operator), the ground handling team, and critically, the quality of ground transport that connects your Corsican address to the aircraft steps. Getting the FBO selection right, and ensuring your chauffeur service understands the specific requirements of each terminal, is the difference between a seamless experience and an unexpectedly stressful one.

Corsica is served by four principal private aviation facilities: Ajaccio Napoléon-Bonaparte (AJA) on the west coast, Figari Sud-Corse (FSC) in the deep south near Bonifacio and Porto-Vecchio, Bastia-Poretta (BIA) in the north-east, and Calvi-Sainte-Catherine (CLY) in the Balagne. Each has distinct characteristics, handling standards, and geographic advantages depending on your Corsican base and onward destination. FFGR Corsica operates across all four with the same standard of precision and discretion.

On the Campo dell'Oro plain, five kilometres from central Ajaccio. The island's busiest gateway, with full FBO handling for business aviation. Preferred by residents of the west coast and the Sanguinaires.

South of the island, ideal for Porto-Vecchio, Bonifacio and Sperone departures. Dedicated apron handling at Figari. The shortest drive for clients in the deep south.

In the north-east near the Bastia plain. Full FBO facilities. Best access for Cap Corse, Saint-Florent and the eastern coast, with strong mainland routing options.

Figari Sud-Corse occupies a privileged position in the southern Corsican landscape. As the closest field to the resorts of Porto-Vecchio and the Sperone peninsula, the experience from the moment of arrival is qualitatively different from a crowded summer terminal. Handling is personal and discreet. The apron lounge is designed for the passenger who expects absolute quiet. Catering, customs and immigration are all coordinated on-site for applicable routes.

The drive from central Porto-Vecchio or the Sperone estates to Figari takes between 25 and 40 minutes depending on the season, primarily via the RN198. FFGR drivers use live traffic monitoring and will advise on departure timing to ensure arrival at the FBO no later than 30 minutes before your block time — or earlier if customs formalities, aircraft preparation or specific handling requirements demand it. The FBO team is notified in advance of the chauffeur's arrival, ensuring that the transition from vehicle to aircraft is coordinated to the second.

For clients based in Bastia, Saint-Florent, Cap Corse or the eastern plain, Bastia-Poretta offers a significant geographic advantage over the southern fields. The airport sits on the Marana plain just south of the city, and on a clear run can be reached from the centre in under 30 minutes. This makes it particularly attractive for early morning departures when travellers need to reach the aircraft with minimal travel time.
